STORY OF A GOOD DOG GOOD TRAINER..... SLEEP ON MAJOR

Major was a rottweiler pup I picked up at a clients house , I didn't charge anything for his training. I saw the drive he exhibited as early as 6 weeks old and I was tempted to work with him. Couldn't have been wrong with my decision to work with him as he proved himself a worthy student and companion. I could recall moments he will look at me waiting for my command. He excelled in sit stay , down stay , come quick , eat and stop eating  on command , fetch(retrieve), intro to drug detection , attack and out command. However I lost him while he went to spend some time at his owners place. His special space still lies in my heart. Having trouble viewing the video? Here’s why your dog should sleep with you in bed every night Dogs have long been considered man’s best friend. Not only do they provide companionship and loyalty, studies have shown that having a dog around provides huge health benefits. Almost everyone will agree that dogs are amazing. In fact, people love them so much that they’re happy to let their dogs sprawl across their bed at night. Is the discomfort worth it? Yes! For dog lovers, the reasons why dogs should sleep in their bed far outweighs the occasional sleepless night. Having a dog around, even while you sleep, will make you a healthier, happier person. Studies performed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Institute of Health show that dogs lower your risk of heart disease. How? Both organizations believe dogs help minimize stress which will lower cholesterol and triglycerides levels. If you recently suffered a heart attack, dogs can help you recover faster too. Remember, an apple a day...

What does your dog really want?

Earlier this year Alaska became the first state to pass a law requiring the consideration of pets’ well being in custody disputes. Seeing that pets, especially dogs, are commonly treated as family members, this may seem like a long overdue change. But it raises the difficult question of determining what’s best for an animal: How do we know what a pet wants? In 2013 Shannon Travis and Trisha Murray appeared in the New York State Supreme Court. The couple had been married for less than a year when they decided to divorce. While Travis was away on business, Murray moved out of their New York City apartment. She took some furniture—and she took Joey, their dachshund. According to court records, Travis believed Joey belonged to her because she was the one who bought him from a pet store. Murray disagreed, arguing Joey belonged to her because, among other reasons, it was in the dog’s best interests. She gave the example that Joey slept next to her side of the bed. With little precedent ...

How to prevent your dog from eating poisoned food

Your dog is a threat to burglars? Then his life is also at risk . One of the major causes of death in dogs is poisoned food . many "excellent trained dogs" have lost their precious life to poisoned food either tossed over the fence by potential intruders or foods left for rodents to eat and die . Many methods have been used to achieve this ; some effective, some not firm enough and others seemingly cruel . One of such methods is the use of two tiny insulated wires with a pair end attached to a 15v battery and the other pair end attached to a piece of raw meat . The wired meat is strategically placed near the fenced terrain. The wires should be passed into a PVC pipe so it could be concealed away from the dogs view . A little salt could be added to the meat to aid conductivity. Release the dog and provide it the opportunity to discover the meat itself . The dog put its mouth and get shocked . Place the meat around each corner of the house to provide the dog the opportunity...
